YEAR 8

so as you all know the year is coming to a end and I will be moving into year 9 at st Patricks
I really want to try my hardest next year and put as much effort into my work as possible and try to make it look AMAZING and yeah....that's not going to happen....most likely
But I am looking forward to it but I know it wont be easy...but yeah I think I am ready for it....maybe.


This isn't going to be easy but I am ready for the challenge and I hope other people are ready too.....and at the end of the day  I am nervous but ready........hope it goes well

SPEECH

I think for my speech I did really good not trying to be a douche here but I think I might get in....maybe.....not really sure but I think so.....anyways


My speech was about DC VS Marvel and if I get in then you will not who wins DC or marvel


For the record I really Tom and wills speech Tom did fifa 15 and Will did zombie stuff


But unlucky for me I think I could of done better I mucked up some actions but whatever

lies

Lies is the book that I have been reading Lies by Michael Grant it is the third book in the gone series
It is a great book and I can say with full honestly I really enjoy reading it.

The main idea is that there are these kids stuck inside this dome and they begin to develop superpowers like flying and speed and in this book a kid with a whip hand comes back from the dead.....

 My favourite character in the book is Sam he has the power to shoot light from his hands

I really like the book and EVERYONE should read the gone series

Speech stuff

My speech is about MARVEL VS DC and I have to say I think I am doing well  I am confident that I can make my speech funny even for the non-nerds but we will have to see how good it is

I scared nervous confident but at the same time ready I am ready for it.

I really hope that my speech is does well and I have already written over half of my speech and plan to continue to finish it but the end of the week ( Friday) 

I really what to make sure that I am happy and funny when I present the speech I really don't want it to be dull and boring

Space

Space has been a great topic to learn about my friend James knows TONS about space and which most of his info is useless to his less smart of a friend (me)


But one thing that does interest me is that chance of other life forms on other planets im a big star wars fan so that chance it happing in real life it would be amazing

also not to mention AILENS I would so cool I would be like pew pew and they would be like EMGURUG and PEW PEW and EBHJBVGFSH......im a nerd.............BUT AILENS would be SO COOL

is also got me think about space travel and jumping to huperspeed and stuff like that and what if there are other place like earth and lava places and......im going full nerd sorry anyways back on track of the topic AILENS but yeah just amazing.....

video games (holidays)

So... as you would of all thought I just played video games all holidays mostly super smash bros brawl but you know what ever the longest time I spent playing was 8 hours STRAIGHT that's right NO breaks (ok maybe one toilet break but....)
I also got 7 videos games and they were  all decent

I also turned 13 and played even more video games 14 hours if a 6 hour sleep break

production

sorry for not posting earlier but now I can talk about how the production went and I think it went really well and I must say every did really well there was a few mistakes (but only a few)


I really liked all the music this time around and I must say BYE 

reading stuff

I have to say I have been finding the reading challenges quite easy this term, but in saying that I haven't really don't that many (I never really do) but I have read like 7 books.
 I plan to at least have the 10 book challenge ( but not the 20 book challenge)
and this term I have managed to finally read the hunger games ( I know what you are all thinking but yes I have only finished now)   
I have to say the final of the hunger games ( mocking jay) I maybe the worst book I have ever read and was just talking and hardly any fighting.
I really hop I win own of those chocolate though

football

Football is my favorite sport and I think it should be your favourite to it is just amazing, ball skills dribbling and shooting. But be careful if you call football soccer to an Englishman they will be mad.

I normally play defence which in my is the best place to play you can slide tackle people and boot in up to the middle people. I have only scored about 3 times in my 4 years of playing but I really don't care

Agents of S.P.A.C.E

Agents of S.P.A.C.E is this year school production and this year i also manged to get a main role JERRy a stupid ( but loveable) henchman that is always trying to listen to his boss and overall is.....Dumb

Great to hear that the teacher picked the poeple from what they are in real life.....groan

Music that is meaningful to me......

I found this weeks blog task really hard, there are so many cool songs to listen too but one that is meaningful too me?? well I had to wait to see what others idea where and I thought to myself that these is going to be a hard task to complete but I thought I would give it a go....and there it is.




So I could talk about my favourite bands and artists but I mean that wasn't really the task but anyways I thought "what ever" and did it anyways so there it is my top 3 favourite band are








1. Skrillex ( I know what you are saying "big surprise, ant") I like EVERYTHING he puts out and his music is almost always great to rave too ( rave= hard-core dancing ant style)


2. fall out boy most possibly the best rock band is the WORLD when ever I listen to the radio and hear something I like it is almost always fall out boy


3. daft punk may surprise you  but I have been a fan of their music for quite a while now
I just love that most of their have a little "daft punk touch" that tells you that it is their song.


ass you can see from my list I had a hard time choosing what song in meaningful but after like 3 hours thinking my favourite ( and most meaningful song)

I have to say this terms history has been....FUN. I have learnt a lot about ancient Egypt and how the were the smartest in their days. I have really enjoyed the mine craft and presentation activity. dodge ball mine craft dress up and quiz this week was one to remember. comment what your favourite activity from this week.       

stuff

for the past like 6 weeks we have be going to our local gym and been doing gymnastics. Rolly pollys bars and beams. I haven't really enjoyed gymnastics and we do something else like sports but it hasn't been to bad. leave a comment down below and tell me what you thought about gymnastics. SICKEL SWORDS

This week at school I have been learning about the ancient Egyptian weapons and tool and I have found a cool tool. It is a sickle (used to gather wheat) connect  to a sword ( used to kill their enemies).

no wonder they had red bread.

It turns out they had tons of cool tools and it turns out that their favorite weapon was a bow and arrow. but is was really cool reading about the tools they had and I hope that all like this subject too.        

joey pigza (books groups)

So we are about to finish books groups and it has been a great time and i have really enjoyed it. my book that I was reading was joey pigza, which is a nice book and is a good book and i happy that i chose this year. i give it a 8/10. a few things that might of been better  for all group is if we stop talking all at the same time and let everyone talk at least once any ways BYE!!

my favorite book

My favorite book when I was younger was the bravest ever bear by Allan Ahilberg and Paul Howard. it has a bunch of short stories all witter by different characters in the book. with the storys of bear a dragon and troll and a wolf it all so has some crazy story lines and is a colorful book about a bear that begins to write his own story.i would normally read it if my mum or dad and used to love the accent my dad did for all the animals. rating : 10/10 and any one that likes any book well like this if tons of different ways of writing. BYE!!!    

holidays

So in the holiday I did a lot of  traveling in NZ and I went to a scout camp up near Napier and this camp was about 5 days long (so one of the bigger scout camps). but there was a problem.....i had to sit in a car for 5 hours with my legs at my face but anyways its was a really fun camp and i liked it quite a lot. the next week me mum and dad went down south and up the westcoast it was fun anyways BYE!!!

things I like

I like YouTube.....maybe I little too much i am watching it almost every chance i get....but what ever i mean i do  like it.....and it is my choice to spend 6 hours watching. but anyways what is your favourite video....mine is any thing about ...minecraft and anything funny. anywasy leave in the comments what your fav video is     

stats

maths has been....OK I have been in the top group which is fine people look at me like I am good at maths ( i am OK). I feel like i am better at using graphs. It would help if a could just be a little faster at my basic facts. I really liked looking at new graphs like a box and whisker graphs   

O.P.C

i found the high ropes the most challenging but i am also very happy that i did the high ropes.  I thought that the all the water things were easy and i really enjoyed it all the water things. it was mostly what i thought it would be but i didn't think the high ropes would be that high.
i was very happy with my self when i did the high ropes. it was amazing feeling like i was on top of the world after doing the high ropes thing.     

i am not

swimming

swimming is fun but FOR WHATEVER REASON I AM IN LEARN TO SWIM.......even though I know how to swim just fine...... which is Really ANNOYING and I am quite sad about it...I mean  I can swim and it is just bad and i am really sad....but I mean whatever resilience right??? anyways swimming is fun and i do enjoy it and i like the water and feel a sense of freedom swimming. Do u guys enjoy swimming two??

camp

I am really excited for OPC and will have a really good at camp with the other year 8s. Caving will be fun and i feel that high ropes will be a challenge and the flying fox will be awesome. But I really want to know cabins and thom is in my groups

The new (and last) school year at St Bens

I am sad to say it but.......its my last year at St Bens and I plan to make it a fun one. This year I was lucky to get Ngatoto House with my friend Astin (FIST PUMP!) I am very happy to be a year 8 because at assembly we get to sit down on the chairs and get to go to OPC camp in week 6. this school year (unlike last) I am trying out for most things like road patrol,librarian and tech support.

Me and the other house captains plan to plan to rule the WORLD!!!!! (maybe) and failing that we will just rule our houses. Not along ago we had school picnic that was awesome we had ice blocks and we built a massive sand castle. i think the funnest thing we will do this year will be jobs as house captain like seeing all the auditions for the talent show but I will enjoy my last year at St Bens and I hope that everyone else will enjoy this school year too.
